Follow These Steps To Add Your Blog To Webmaster Tools

Go to Google webmaster tools page, click “Search Console”

Sign in with your Google account

Enter your website/blog URL and click “Add Property”

You will asked to verify ownership of the website

There are two options given here

Html File (via ftp) Recommended

Html Tag (Alternative Method)

So navigate to  and click the “Alternative Method”

Click on html tag and copy the code

Go back to your WordPress dashboard

Navigate to plugin and click “Add New”

Search for and install “Header and Footer Plugin by Wp Beginner

Then navigate to settings and click on “Insert Header and Footer.

Paste the copied code and click on “Save”

Go back to Goggle Search Console website and click on “Verify Site” button

You should get a success message like the one below and a mail… Then click “Continue”

Note: When you add your site to Search Console, it may take some time before diagnostic and other data is available. This is normal; it can take some time for Search Console to gather and process data for your site.
