You should also look at this when you start your keyword search. Find multiple variations of keywords to embed them through out your write ups. This will also help you understand how Google is thinking about a particular keyword and how keywords are related to each other.

Google Ad words keyword planner is where most webmasters start their research.  So now that you have your potential keyword or keywords, it is important that you find the number of searches that these keywords receive monthly, this way we will not be trying to rank keywords that are just going to generate little or no visits instead  of focusing on one that can potentially generate hundreds or even thousands of monthly visits.

Keyword planner shows you the average number of monthly searches, suggested birds, competition etc.  for the particular keyword. It also suggests related keyword and phrases.

It is obvious you now know which keywords that receive most searches and can potentially drive traffic to your blog and the ones that receive little or no searches.

Tip: The idea here is to use keywords that receive a relatively high amount of monthly search volume but has low competition.

4] Google Search Console:

Search console is where webmasters reside. The main queries are made here, you can find the queries that have actually driven traffic to your blog over the past few months with this first. Additionally, you can also see the content’s that has driven the most traffic to your blog within a particular period of time and also analyze web pages that are obtained through searches.

5] Google Trends:

With Google trends, you can choose the right variation of a particular keyword

This tool reflects how many searches have been done for a particular term in relation to the total number of searches performed on Google over time. However, they do not represent absolute search volume numbers but can give you an insight/analysis of the keyword you want to rank for.

6] Google Analytics

Most of the keyword data found in the Google Analytics organic section is labeled as (not provided), there is a section under ” Acquisition ”

that contains 1 month of good data.

In “Search Console” → “Queries”.

This information is similar to what you’ll find in Google Webmaster Tools. The advantage of seeing this data in Google Analytics versus Webmaster Tools

is the improved ability to compare previous months of data, including impressions, clicks, and click through rate.

Even with Google hiding most of your keyword data in Google Analytics, there are still many resources that Google offers (free) that can be extremely useful for webmasters and SEO experts to identify relevant keywords to optimize their content.

Tip: Start by using these tools to help identify useful topics and keywords, then create and share content that is highly appealing to your audience.

Remember, if your content is not useful and shareable, it does not matter how many keywords you can identify. You goal should be to write contents that people would share with these powerful plugins and naturally link to
